tractor...

This tractor has been parked in a field for several weeks. I see it everyday on my way to and from work.

I just had to stop and get a shot of it.

I upped the contrast and did a color fade, so it looks all old and neat! ...and I added a little blur on the edges.

I really like it!

another practice shot....

... brett is calling to buster, too cute!!!!

...for this one I set my ISO to 400 since it was going into evening and there was lots of cloud coverage. I set the aperture to 2.8 and moved my shutterspeed to 1/125th of a second.

I was trying out the practice of metering on his face, then focusing on his eyes, then holding the button half-way down and recomposing...
all while he was playing with Buster.

I think the whole thing is getting easier and easier!!!! I love it! I'm still not 100% that my exposure was totally correct, but I like this result.

OH... and I LOVE Sepia... I went through a huge sepia phase a few years ago where I changed everything to sepia:')

shoot scheduled....

Oh my... I have a shoot scheduled w/ a very good friend in a few weeks... I'm excited and nervous all at the same time. I've been practicing like crazy w/ my son... he is just about sick of me. I'm going to have to start paying him for his time!!!
As nervous as I am, I'm looking forward to shooting for my friends... most cuz the mom is an awesome chica!
Hopefully she'll let me share some shots on the blog.

sweet baby...

I attended a CONFIDENCE workshop w/ 19 other beautiful and talented women in DC the weekend of 9/19.

The workshop was lead by Me Ra Koh and her husband.

Not only did I learn a ton, but we got to shoot these sweet little babes!
These are some of my favorite shots!

The workshop really was great!
